Florida Hospital – Heartland Triathlon Training

In an effort to assist local participants with training for this event, Trainer Cherie Starr will lead training sessions beginning Thursday, May 15^th.  In addition, 2007 Half Ironman World Champion and 3-Time podium finisher at the World Ironman Championships, Patrick High, will assist participants with coaching and guidance for those interested. 

The training sessions will be at SFCC at 5:30 pm every Thursday evening.  (Other evenings/weekend mornings will be announced)  These sessions are designed to assist all skill levels…from first timer to those who may have a full season of triathlons ahead of them.  The college is providing use of the shower areas/locker rooms for our convenience.

The workouts will consist of swimming, biking and/or running.  Each participant should come prepared to have a transition station set up in the parking area.  There will be someone to guard the area while you do your 13 mile bike ride and 5K run.  All participants should park in front of the tennis court area, so that we are stationed together.
